Irving, the Old Dutch Church, & Sleepy Hollow 2025
TarryHollow Tours: Sleepy Hollow, Irving, and the Old Dutch Church
Step back in time and experience the rich history and enduring legends of Sleepy Hollow on this 90-minute immersive walking tour.
We’ll begin with the story of the first Dutch settlers of Philipsburg Manor—once one of the Hudson Valley’s largest colonial estates. From there, you’ll enter the historic Old Dutch Church, forever immortalized in Washington Irving’s Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Admire its striking architecture and imagine the centuries of stories its walls could tell.
The tour continues through the surrounding burial ground, where you’ll discover the lives of those who once inhabited the Neutral Ground and bravely fought in the American Revolution. Along the way, you’ll hear the tales of real people who inspired Irving’s unforgettable characters, weaving together history, folklore, and legend.
✨ Join us for a truly memorable journey where the past and the spirit of Sleepy Hollow come alive.
